![]() Hi, this is Mary Jo and I'm your designer. I graduated from Louisiana State University and have been working in the industry ever since. Your room is so big! We love that the ceiling gets higher when you come into the room, and that you have practically a whole wall of light! However, we understand the challenges of trying to fit a few different activities into one space and still making it cohesive. Our hope is that with these next few suggestions you will feel that the space is unified, organized and cute! Your biggest concern with the space was how to make your office functional but also seamless with the rest of the room. Since there are multiple ways to accomplish this, we gave you two different options. The first is to have a secretary with a fun accent chair that can be used as extra seating in the living room. The second option gives you more counter space by having a table as the main place to work. However, if you need more space and storage than each of these will allow, we selected a bright red piece that should give you what you want. To help with storing toys without them always being in sight, we picked out a tall china cabinet. This is the idea we are shooting for, but if you find another one at an antique mall or a yard sale that fits the bill- go for it! We also thought a nice console table behind the sofa would help define the two parts of the room. It is has a beautiful light blue paint that is distressed and it also has more drawers to store things. |
