This is our MyDesignGuide Window Treatment Plan. We've chosen three types of drapes that would work well with your existing sofa and colors. Window treatments are important in making your room feel complete. They are functional and add warmth to a room.
The first option has a modern feel, which appeals to teens. The drapes feature a platinum and black color palette that matches the colors in the room. The horizontal stripes at the bottom coincide with the stripes on the sofa. These are very much in style today in design magazines. So fun.
The second option is a traditional damask pattern in black and white. You can add more of a modern flare to it by using red tie backs, which will coordinate with the red throw pillows on the sofa. If you're crafty, add some red material to the bottom for some added pop of color and a slightly more modern look.
The last option features a diamond embroidery design in red and black. This provides a more elegant look in the room as well as an interesting pattern. The red color is consistent with the red in your throw pillows. Add the matching valance for a chic look.
All drapes should be hung so that they hit approximately one inch above the floor and the rods should be hung 2 or 3 inches above the window frame. Standard drapes come in sizes 84" or 96" - if you have questions about which to choose - just email us.
